Dashboards typically provide lots of information, and often times can over-rely on the reader to distill meaningful information. Unfortunately, internal indecisiveness is common. In addition, faced with an overwhelming number of indicators, many organizations default to the most commonly cited metrics - volumes, patient satisfaction and turnaround time – which although important, potentially ignores other metrics worthy of inclusion.
