Cost/Exam - This benchmark shows where your salary and supply costs compare to what everyone else is spending. It removes imaging management from the silo. The AHA reports the average hospital wastes $2.2 million dollars - is the waste in Radiology? The Cost/Exam benchmark confirms this.
Salary/Exam - When your Salary/Exam costs are above the benchmark, you now know which direction to turn - You need to drill down and monitor your overtime, FTEs/pay period and productivity trends.
Revenue/Exam - This benchmark exposes a few areas that usually need tweaking. Is your Charge Master complete and current? Is every charge being captured every time on every exam, even interventional? Which modalities are loss leaders, and which are your major revenue generators?
